Close reading is a skill. It is a skill that you need to develop over the course of the year. There are lots of ways to do this!
Read, read, read! The more you can expose yourself to the type of journalism / writing that you will be faced with in the exam, the easier you will find the paper
Expand your vocabulary. When you are reading, look up any words that you do not understand and learn their definitions. This will also benefit your writing!
