Geography

The Faculty of Geography, Philosophy and Belief is located in two different locations on the ground floor of the school. Geography at the end of the social subjects corridor has three dedicated classrooms. Philosophy and Belief at the start of the Technical corridor has two dedicated classrooms.

Geography is taught by Mrs Wilson and Miss Brown.

S1 - S3 Curriculum

S1/2 classes are taught social subjects by a single teacher, where the timetable allows, this teacher delivers all three social subjects to pupils, with subjects being taught discretely and it mixed ability sets, with a Geography allocation of 1 period per week.

S3 elect to study Geography, classes are of mixed ability and allocation is 2 periods per week

In S1-3 Geography pupils can expect to have at least one or more pieces of homework per topic. This will normally take the form of consolidation of class learning or personal research to deepening understanding.

S4 - S6 Curriculum

Seniors are expected to read or take their own notes from the learning that day, to build up revision materials and or set questions are given.Pupils also have access to Edmodo whereby they can find information that their teacher has put on the website to aid their learning.
