Some pupils require additional support in exams and tests to ensure that they get fair access. For example:
It would be unfair for a pupil to do poorly in a Geography exam due to poor literacy, as the exam is to assess their knowledge of Geography, not their ability to read or write.
The process of having additional support in this way is called additional exam arrangements.
