Head Teacher Update - Letter 60

22nd December in School

Wednesday 22nd December 2021

Dear parent / carer (please share with your child)

As always, I hope this letter finds you and your loved ones all safe and well. This is my final letter of the
year… and you’ll be pleased to note that it’s a short one.

Covid continues to be a concern for us all and new guidance has been issued for schools. Perhaps
more guidance will be issued before we return on Thursday 6th. We’ll need to wait and see. If not, we
will follow this guidance which contains all the precautions we are currently using to keep us all safe,
well and learning.

Although we will all be on holiday, I hope you find the time to click on our You Tube channel and watch
our Christmas Concert and our Christmas Service. The talent on show is superb. My thanks to all those
within the school and across the community who contributed to these events.

I would like to close the year with a repeat of my Christmas message delivered in our Christmas Service:

Please have a lovely time with your family and friends whenever and wherever you can (safely).
Christmas is very much a time to come together and enjoy the company of those close to us. I hope
you take the time to down tools, to relax and to enjoy yourselves with those you love. Remember, look
after yourself; look after your family; and be kind to others – whomever they may be.

Have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Yours faithfully,

P A Bain
Executive Head Teacher
Oban High School, Tiree High School & Tiree Primary School
