Duke of Edinburgh
The Duke of Edinburgh's (DofE) Award is a high quality, enjoyable, challenging and rewarding programme of personal development activities for young people aged 14 – 25. It's all about going the extra mile – gaining new skills, pushing yourself physically, helping others and exploring new territories. There is a volunteering, physical and skills section as well as an expedition section.
We are currently running a Bronze and a Silver DofE.
Silver DofE expedition training currently runs every Wednesday after school during term time from 3.45 - 5.30pm.
The Bronze Award is for pupils in S3+ and involves four sections: PHYSICAL, SKILL, VOLUNTEERING and EXPEDITION.
You also have to spend an extra three months on one of the Volunteering, Physical or Skills sections. It’s your choice which one and, though you can change your mind later, you should decide which section you want to do for longer at the beginning. Knowing how long you’re going to do it for will help you to choose your activity and set your goals for each section.

The Silver Award is for pupils in S5 and involves four sections: PHYSICAL, SKILL, VOLUNTEERING and EXPEDITION.
